Your Ultimate Guide to Sustainable Fashion

Mid-size tanned woman sitted in an outside chair taking a sun bath on the side of an ouside pool. She's wearing organic cotton made shorts and shirt.

Hello and welcome to the NÄZ blog! Your go-to source for all things sustainable fashion. As a sustainable brand based in Portugal, we're dedicated to producing high-quality, eco-friendly clothing that’s both beautiful and ethically made.

Two girls posing for the picture on the mirror and a man sitting on the sofa holding the camera and taking the picture. They're smiling and wearing sustainable clothes, made of organic cotton, on the colour yellow.

Cristiana, the brand's owner, Tiago, the phographer and Marta, the head of innovation.

As we all know, the fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world, with a significant impact on the environment and on people's lives. According to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global wastewater and 10% of global carbon emissions. Scary isn’t it? This is why it’s so essential to be conscious of the impact that our fashion choices have and to look for brands that prioritize sustainability and ethical production practices.

However, you must watch out for Greenwashing, a term that refers to companies claiming to be sustainable but not prioritising environmental responsibility. This is why NÄZ was founded with a commitment to transparency and honesty.

But we don't just talk the talk - we walk the walk. Using only natural, organic and recycled materials, we work with factories in Portugal that provide fair wages and safe working conditions, and are transparent about our production process and supply chain. Consumers have a right to know what they are buying and who they are supporting with their purchases, right? Our clothes are designed to be worn for years, not just a season or two, making them both sustainable and cost-effective.

Meet Naz Factories. We pledge to work with local factories that highlight the craftmanship heritage in Portugal. Conferoças is our circular knit partner, based in Braga, in a small scale factory composed 100% by women.

I’m so glad I’m going to learn even more from you guys, that’s awesome! If you want to explain a bit more about sustainable materials, I would not mind at all

Marta

I already loved everything you’re doing over at Näz, and now you launch a blog? Amazing! I would love to read more about how to care for specific fibers like in a really dummy way!
